Embracing an industrial contemporary design, “The Brit” pays a respectful tribute to the city’s rich heritage and its historical role as the Hardware City. The exterior of the building will be adorned with outdoor seating areas, while a charming urban courtyard graces the rear. The ambiance will be further enhanced by captivating murals, street art, and carefully placed lighting, creating an unmistakable and inviting sense of place.

Our Brit project is a ground-up 107-unit development in the heart of New Britain, CT just opposite a beautiful, expansive plaza that was begging to be brought alive, the streetscape a perfect blend of urban sophistication with an edge.

A layered textured facade using industrial materials yet refined details gave the streetscape the perfect blend of sophistication and warmth. The lower facade uses antique brick, with layers of grey and charcoal fiber cement panels and stucco for the upper floors with contemporary materials for a modern feel. The mixed-use building includes a full ground floor of retail and functions as an urban oasis in a bustling city, with stylish residential apartments appealing to a young, hip clientele, and an open-air courtyard with a distinctly urban yet sophisticated appeal.
